Humid HUMID humidddd weather

I have combination skin and where I live right now the humidity is ridiculous and is making it worse. Sometimes i feel like it looks like make up is melting off and creasing on my nose regardless of primer, spray, and powder. I am currently trying out a new products that I had purchased from The Body Shop. Those two are: the seaweed mattifying day cream ($16 1.7 oz) and seaweed mattifying moisture lotion ($18 1.69 fl oz)

Descriptions:
Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream:
An easily absorbed, non-clogging, oil-free, hydrating moisture cream. Leaves the skin feeling fresh, clean, soft and supple with a shine-free, matte complexion

Seaweed Mattifying Lotion:
An easily absorbed non-clogging, oil-free, hydrating and cooling moisture lotion with a sun protection factor of 15. Innovative technology controls excess sebum and shine while delivering essential moisture to areas most in need.

My Opinions:
Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream:
I don't like the texture of it. It is watery and it takes a while for it to dry on my skin. This combined with the lotion does help the oil, however the day cream alone does not do anything for my skin. The product does not smell like seaweed which is good. A little of this cream goes a long way because of the liquid consistency. Will I purchase again? Maybe. I give this product a: 3 out of 5.

Seaweed Mattifying Lotion:
The lotion I favor the most out of the two. It has a watery consistency but it dries right when the lotion is spread evenly on to the face which allows you to use a little product for your whole face. I used this alone and it helped, but of course nothing can make your face completely matte for long time especially in this crazy humidity where I live. The day cream combine with the mattifying lotion seemed to work just as fine as the lotion works on its own. I will be purchasing this again. I give this product a 4 out 5.

Update on CHANEL MAT LUMIÈRE LONG LASTING LUMINOUS MATTE FLUID MAKEUP SPF 15

I have been using the foundation for about a few months now. The consistency is pretty thick, but not too thick where its uncomfortable to wear. When using this foundation, I have to blend very quickly because it dries fast. Using fingers or a flat top foundation brush would be the best application.

Description: CHANEL modernizes matte with a lightweight formula that delivers a soft, natural look with maximum staying power. Medium coverage looks impeccable and shine-free for up to 12 hours.

My Opinion: I would not consider this : "lightweight" It's not heavy, but definitely not lightweight. It does give you a soft look with a matte finish, however definitely not shine free for 12 hrs. It keeps me matte for about 4-7 hrs depending on the humidity of the weather. (I have combination skin) Coverage is medium coverage, but build able.

The price is $54.00 which is pricey for a foundation, but I would re-purchase it.

If I had to rate this product, it would be 4 out 5 stars.

Dissapointed -_-

So back around the end of April, Hautelook was having a sale on NYX cosmetics. I bought a set of 22 lip glosses for $26.50. I was looking forward to my package, and when my package came, UGHHH I was kind of disappointed  I think I would only wear about 5 of the colors. The rest are colors I would never wear. They were mostly really dark shades of burgundy, browns, and purples, and some dark reds. It came with some glittery lip glosses that are straight up all glitter. One of them was a silver lip gloss which was literally a gloss with massive amounts of silver glitter. One was a sheer pink shade but the glitters were like rainbow colored when reflected with light. I feel like it's such a waste. I was thinking about using the glitter lipglosses for the eyes, but when the gloss is spread out almost all the glitter just smears off. Any suggestions I can do with the glosses I rather not use for my lips? Has anyone ever used lip glosses for anything else? Picture is below, excuse me for the bad quality, I took it in a rush with my phone; I wasn't in any type of hyped mood to care to take it with my digital camera.

Gas where I live is starting to get ridiculously high. $4.09/gallon for REGULAR. Vintage Makeup made a post about the "Rediscover Challenge," and I am going to try to do this because I need gas so less make up, haha.

HAUTELOOK SALE TODAY :)

I was happy to see Hautelook was having a sale on Romeo and Juliet Couture. It starts today and ends on Saturday 04/30.
Here are a few things I purchased. I cannot wait to recieve them!

HAPPY SHOPPING!

UPDATE: I am a little bit upset because the bag is not as bright as it was in the pictures. =( It's actually like a shade darker. Disappointment.

Wet n Wild Palette and Milani Liquif'eye

I know the Wet n Wild Palette and Milani Liquif'eye are not new products, but I wanted to share my thoughts on these two products. They are raved about on youtube and I was iffy about purchasing them, but I finally decided to try since they were inexpensive.

The Palette I purchased is in the color "Comfort zone"

They are very creamy in texture and pigmented, however the lighter colors rub off very easily which is a con. The darker colors are pretty long lasting though. I purchased this for about $5.00 and I would purchase it again and recommend to others. For the quality and price I give this a 4/5 stars.

The Milani liquif'eye Pencil

This is was compared to the urban decay 24/7. I would say the Milani pencil glides on a lot smoother, its REALLY soft in texture, however After testing both the Urban Decay 24/7 and the Milani I have come to the conclusion that the Urban Decay Pencil has a longer lasting power. The picture below is what the liners look like after being smudged; the left milani, right urban decay. So would I consider this a "dupe?" Not really, but it's still a great eyeliner considering its a "drugstore" item.

Not beauty related at all, but I had to post it.

First I want to give my regards and prayers to the families and loved ones who had lost someone from the tsunami in Japan; as for the victims who had suffered injuries or passed away in an unfortunate way, I believe you are all in a better place; please rest in peace.

NEXT, My roomate and I had purchased two bunnies. Mine is a Lionhead named Mochii and hers is a Holland Lopp names Tokii.

Meet Mochii

and meet Tokii

Okay, so supposedly, my little Mochii is a bully and harasses Tokii all the time. She goes in his cage and eats his food and plays with his toys instead of hers. I am currently at work right now, and she sends me pictures via text of how Mochii likes to scheme.

Our bunnies love it when the heat comes on the vent. As you can see, Tokii was there first, and Mochii is watching Tokii on the vent.
Now we can see Mochii's attempt at pushing Tokii off the vent.

Well pushing Tokii did not work, so she found her solution: Lay on top untill he moves.

That is all :)

My new purchase

The boyfriend was very generous and purchased the foundation for me that I had wanted. I love the M.U.F.E HD, but I am excited to try this product out!  The CHANEL MAT LUMIÈRE. The formula seems rich and the texture seems velvety. It has SPF 15 and it's supposed to be a long wear medium to full coverage foundation that helps keep your face oil free and matte. I love matte finishes so there seems to be a lot of positives to this foundation. There is a smell to this foundation, but its not very strong. I can't really describe the smell, I want to say a light sweet floral perfume scent, but it does not bother me at all. I will do an updated review after I have tried the foundation out for a period of time. I purchased it for $54.00 at a nearby Nordstrom.
